Network Manager/ Assistant Manager

**Job responsibilities**
Strategic Leadership & Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the network infrastructure, anticipating future needs and technology trends.
- Establish and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security.
- Manage the network budget, including forecasting, procurement, and vendor management.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on network performance, project status, and risk assessment.
Network Operations & Administration:
- Design, configure, install, and maintain all network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and wireless controllers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and manage robust network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware from cyber threats.
- Ensure network compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., CIS Guidelines, ISO27001).
- Lead incident response efforts for any network security breaches.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers and administrators.
- Delegate tasks, set priorities, and manage the team's workload effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage complex network projects from conception to completion, including network upgrades, expansions, and cloud migrations.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage project execution, tracking milestones, and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks effectively to all stakeholders.
**Job requirements**
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration and engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering network projects.
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, SD-WAN, QoS).
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Ruckus, Peplink or similar.
- Strong expertise in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and VPNs.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, NSE).

- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Pay: $4,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
