**PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure the annual industry sales targets are achieved for Business Unit AP. Through developing and deploying best-in-class sales leadership and business strategies.
- Establish and maintain a market development/industry growth and execution plan for the life sciences businesses for Business Unit in AP
- Ensure a total solution offering for the Life Science industry from R&D to fill finish in close cooperation with other Emerson BU’s including Aspentech
- Own the POR for the life science industry for AP and have regular reports on POR and performance with the Process Systems and Solutions LS leadership team
- Collaborate with the Director Lifecycle Care Business Unit AP in developing specific KOB3 and service offerings for the life science industry
- Drive market participation growth within the life science industry across AP in close cooperation with the country sales organizations and Engineering Centers
- Develop and drive the Software Platforms (Syncade / RTMS / PKM / etc.) plans for AP whilst leveraging DeltaV architecture and customer relationships
- Develop a growth plan for relevant solutions for LS
- Develop strategic account plans to become the trusted advisor for agreed strategic accounts
- Collaborate with the country sales teams, global sales network, technology, and product marketing on potential product / solution development to address key industry needs
- Extend Business Unit's participation at the agreed strategic accounts, share identified opportunities with other business units, and own global contracts for AP-based customers
- Coordinate project pursuit activities with other world areas and/or the GP3 team and be the focal point for the global life science industry marketing organization
- Demonstrate technical knowledge about Business Unit products and services as well as industry specific requirements
- Provide timely information to support effective business management to all Emerson levels

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Degree in Engineering or technical field with a business degree preferred
- 8 years of relevant leadership, account management experience, and/or general management roles with knowledge and affinity of software sales.
- 8 years of relevant Life Science industry experience preferred
- Proven results in creating business growth and building effective relationships
- Knowledge of and experience with the Process Automation and IT (MES) domain in the Life Sciences Industry
- Can create a vision and is able to communicate and present this on multiple levels, whilst creating the environment to execute to plan.
- Have demonstrated strong competencies in the continual development of both individuals and teams consistently.
- Dynamic mindset and openness to drive change
