We are looking for a Technical Manager, 2-stroke with in-depth and broad technical 2-stroke knowledge and the role is based in Singapore
- Technical consulting of customer in the region
- Lead complex technical discussions on technical managers/directors’ level of the customers
- Takes ownership of complex cases and coordinates efforts between parts, field service and technical service
- Run technical seminars with customers on various 2-stroke topics and solutions as well as merchant ship efficiency etc
- lead through technical evaluations and scoping with customers for larger retrofit projects (e.g., gas retrofits, integrated solutions)
- explain both high-level and in technical details about the maintenance management of modern 2-stroke engines
- strongly connect with WinGD in China, Korea and Japan to jointly promote WinGD engines in newbuild projects together with Wärtsilä's lifecycle solutions
- to be strongly connected with the latest technical developments in 2-stroke global functions (PME, TS) as well as in WinGD and to convey such to the regional technical teams
- Brings feedback to 2-S centre about technical challenges and training needs for the experts and FS engineers
- support the regional technical teams in their competence development
- Exploring and developing of sales leads at and with customers in responsibility area.
- Supporting and feeding the internal sales organization
- Work closely with the regional 2-S product sales manager
- Follow up of Technical and Field Service opportunities
- Conducting regular product and service information sessions
