Accountant Full-time, Fully Remote

**Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)**

**Financial Reporting & Reconciliation**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements,
- balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and month-end closings.

**Cross-Border Collaboration**:

- Communicate daily with the accountant in China to align on intercompany
- transactions, reconciliations, and compliance matters.
- Translate financial documents and ensure accurate interpretation for seamless
- collaboration between US and Chinese teams.

**Compliance & Taxation**:

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, as well as local regulations in both the US and China.
- Assist with federal, state, and international tax filings and audits.

**Accounts Payable & Receivable**:

- Manage invoicing, vendor payments, and accounts receivable processes.
- Monitor and address payment discrepancies and follow up on overdue accounts.

**Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Support the Head of Finance in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.

**Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement improvements.

**Requirements (expected proficiencies to excel in this role)**
- **Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English,** with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- **Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management,** preferably in the e-commerce industry with experience working with Amazon marketplace.
- Experience consolidating P&L reports from multiple companies into one report.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification offered by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)**,** is preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Chinese accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience working cross-culturally with international teams, particularly in China.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Kingdee Software, 金蝶, is required

**Working Hours & Location**

This is a remote role. Flexibility is required to work across time zones, with regular working hours to overlap with the team in China **(9:30 AM-6:30 PM China time** / 6:30 PM-10:30 PM PST).

**Offer Details**

This is a full-time / contract position that is, remote and may require some travel internationally.

Pay is betweenSGD 5K - SGD 7K/month SDG based on experience.
