Infrastructure Architect

**Job Description Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Lead to oversee the infrastructure planning, implementation, and management for mid-scale projects. As the Infrastructure Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure required to support a range of projects. You will collaborate closely with project teams, stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure that all infrastructure components are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

**_Key Responsibilities _**
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of infrastructure solutions for various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project needs.
- Develop comprehensive infrastructure plans, including cloud, network, data center, and hardware solutions.
- Ensure that infrastructure systems adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO, SOC)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, software engineers, security teams, and vendors, to deliver efficient and scalable infrastructure services.
- Oversee the configuration, installation, and integration of infrastructure systems, ensuring smooth transitions during project lifecycles.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, and resilient to meet performance and availability requirements.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure management, including automation, monitoring, and reporting tools.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that infrastructure requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and cost efficiency during and after project completion.
- Lead risk management efforts related to infrastructure, ensuring business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including infrastructure blueprints, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
- Lead and mentor the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration across the organization

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and management, preferably in a project-based environment.
- Proven track record of leading infrastructure projects from conception through completion.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, data center operations, virtualization technologies, and system security.
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong technical acumen with a focus on security and compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and strategic recommendations.
- Professional certificates in Cisco Networking, VMWare, RedHat, MCSE, or equivalent
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices will be an added advantage
- Professional certificates such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solution Architect, or equivalent will be an added advantage
