Infrastructure Architect and Storage Lead

**Position Summary**

The Infrastructure Architect and Storage Lead is responsible for driving transformation initiatives around the infrastructure and network domains at BCS. The incumbent will work closely with the existing BAU teams to understand the current landscape, identify areas for improvement, and lead the design and implementation of solutions.

The incumbent will uplift the capabilities of critical infrastructure and network systems, including tools like SolarWinds, AWS, OBM, ELK, Ansible, Device42, Tenable, and SailPoint.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Infrastructure an network optimization and automation**:

- Lead the strategic uplift and optimization of the organisation’s infrastructure and network systems
- Address existing issues and optimise the performance of tools and systems, including SolarWinds, AWS, OBM, ELK, Ansible, Device42, Tenable, and SailPoint
- Ensure all infrastructure components are aligned with the business's long-term objectives and compliance requirements

**Collaboration and Stakeholder Management**:

- Work closely with BAU teams to understand current operations and identify areas for improvement
- Liaise with professional services and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and successful transformation initiatives
- Provide advice on best practices for infrastructure and network management Transformation Leadership:

- Drive the overall transformation of infrastructure and network operations, ensuring that the organization fully utilises available tools to support business objectives
- Lead projects focused on enhancing infrastructure capacity, improving monitoring capabilities, and integrating new technologies

**Documentation and Process Improvement**:

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure and network systems, processes, and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance system performance and reliability

**Capacity and Performance Management**:

- Monitor and manage the capacity and performance of infrastructure and network systems, ensuring they meet nosiness demands
- Conduct regular assessments and tuning to optimise systems performance and ensure scalability

**Storage and Backup**:

- Own end-to-end analysis, including scoping, design, data collection, data analysis and solutioning
- Identify potential changes and recommend system improvements
- Create and document the solutions using existing Infrastructure Standard Platforms and Design Patterns
- Perform rapid prototyping or proof of concept using frontend and/or backend technologies to deliver deep insights

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical lead role within the infrastructure and network domains
- Proven track record of leading successful infrastructure and network transformation initiatives Skills and knowledge

**Skills and knowledge**
- Strong experience with tools and systems such as SolarWinds, AWS, OBM, ELK, Ansible, Device42, Tenable, and SailPoint
- Experience in administering Enterprise Storage (Hitachi Dell EMC, Networker) design, deployment and operations in a financial institution or MNC
- Good experience in enterprise backup solutions design and operations
- In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive transformation projects from concept to completion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships

**Professional Certifications**
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, PHEL Certified System Administrator, Oracle
- Certified System Administrator, or similar are an added advantage
