**Research Associate, Cell Line Development / Upstream Process Development** - Hummingbird Bioscience**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Execute project critical cell culture work from thaw, scale-up, flask/bioreactor inoculation, fed-batch process and harvest of cell culture
- Execute routine cell culture handlings for various CHO cell types and maintaining upstream analytical instruments such as NOVA Flex, Cedex Bio Analyzer, BGA, Octet or VCD/Viability Analyzer
- Perform protein purification using affinity purification, ion exchange purification, and gel-filtration purification on an AKTA system
- Author protocol, study reports and documents for technical transfer and regulatory filings
- Conduct data analysis, interpret data and accurately document and communicate results
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders as necessary to execute projects
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and perform under pressure

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor/Master of Science with 1-3-years of relevant experience
- Experience with CHO expression systems; from thaw, passage, scale-up to bioreactor systems and maintaining fed-batch cultures
- Strong competence and confidence in aseptic techniques and BSC work

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in Cell-Line Development work; from transfection, pool establishment, clone isolation, selection and stability studies
- Experience in routine purification of IgG/IgG-like molecules using an AKTA Pure or equivalent systems Experience in affinity purification, ion-exchange purification, gel-filtration, viral inactivation and depth filtration work
