The Perse School Singapore is a British International School and is the first international school collaborating with The Perse School, Cambridge UK. Founded in 1615, Perse Cambridge has 400 years of educational excellence and tradition.

With the support including advice and learning assets from Perse Cambridge, Perse Singapore adopts the Cambridge International Curriculum, and adapts it to the Singapore context. The Cambridge International Curriculum encourages both curiosity as well as academic rigour, in alignment with Perse’s values.
Children in Perse are expected to live out the values. They will ask challenging questions, will have a voice and will take full advantage of the opportunities within and beyond the classroom. Perse Singapore is a member of Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA). As FOBISIA aims to promote a British style education system in schools in Asia, teachers will have opportunities for professional development. In addition, the children will have the opportunity for collaboration and friendly competition through FOBISIA’s annual sporting and musical festivals.
Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all students using a range of resources and approaches to learning.
- Plan and prepare lesson materials, assessments, and enrichment that aligns with the school's curriculum and educational objectives.
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that fosters a love of learning and encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Ability to utilise an established House System and incorporation of school values.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support student learning, including technology and interactive media.
- Ensuring inclusive learning for all including diversity and a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those but not limited to those with EAL, special educational needs, individual need for stretch and challenge, and able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them.
- To develop an effective tracking system to monitor pupil progress and attainment.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, provide feedback to students and parents, and adjust teaching strategies and materials accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to develop and implement best practices in the teaching and learning of Sport, Health and Fitness.
- Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, technologies, and advances in Physical education.
**Requirements**:
- A bachelor's degree in sport, or a related field.
- A desired requirement would be experience of curriculum development.
- A preferred requirement would be someone with experience in Sciences.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience within sports, health and fitness including coaching certifications and associated accreditations for specific areas demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leaders to achieve common goals.
- Familiarity with current educational technologies and appropriate inclusion within teaching and learning.
Pastoral and Extra-Curricular requirements:
All teachers at The Perse School are required to be a form tutor and contribute to the extra-curricular programme (Drama and/or Public Speaking). These requirements are fundamental to working at Perse Singapore. All teachers are required to make a proportionate contribution to the following:
- the extra-curricular life of the school through Games, the Enrichment Programme or other appropriate commitment
- form tutoring
- the PSHEE or Emotional Wellbeing programme
