Roles & Responsibilities

The Cafe Manager is responsible for the overall success and operation of the Project Acai store they lead. Primary responsibilities include leading, managing, and overseeing strong team development, ensuring that product, customer service and consumer experience is in line with our brand values and goals, and that the store operates in a manner that enables us to reach or exceed our financial and operational goals.

**Role and Job Description**
Daily Operations**
- Quick service cafe
- Take orders, cashiering, and attend to customers
- Preparation of acai bowls and smoothies
- Preparation of fruits, toppings, and all required items for daily operations
- Inventory management and stock take
- Cleaning and housekeeping of café premises
- Staff in management positions will have additional related responsibilities
**LEAD**:

- Develop, inspire, and retain team members, providing regular coaching and feedback to build their knowledge and skills.
- Ensure that in-store training and guidance is provided adequately by training supervisor for all new service crew members. Utilize training tools, guides and resources to monitor progress and achievements.
- Develop an effective succession plan and engage in active recruiting of Service Crew members and Team Leaders
**SERVICE**:

- Continuously seek to improve our quality of service through attention to customer experiences and feedback.
- Analyse customer needs and propose initiatives, policies or changes that will elevate our offerings and overall customer experience.
**BUSINESS & RETAIL OPERATIONS**:

- Drive strong and continuously improving financial performance at the stores under your management.
- Be a role model of operational excellence the teams under your charge, exemplifying and reinforcing standards and behaviours consistent with Project Acai’s culture.
- Understand your location’s scheduling requirements in order to build and deploy a team that ensures efficiency while maintain our service standards and turnaround requirements, and balances the needs and capabilities of your team members.
- Ensure efficient inventory levels by placing timely orders of appropriate quantities of all necessary materials, items, and services.
- Demonstrate leadership of the store by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of store’s interior and exterior. This includes facilitating monthly “deep cleanings” of the store.
- Protect store assets and facilities at all times through complying and ensuring compliance with Project Acai’s policies and procedures for safety, health, security, maintenance, and cash handling.
- Stage Management - Manage store promotions, store presentation, and visual merchandising. Lead and oversee the training for seasonal promotion and follow-up on the execution throughout the course of the promotion.
- Communicate essential information in a clear and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A minimum of five years of F&B management/supervisory experience and/or related experience and training.
- Continuous demonstrated ability to lead and provide excellent customer service.
- Experience coaching, training, developing, and motivating others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and delegation skills
- Ability to effectively problem solve, using sound judgment
- This is a full-time role, with variable hours such as mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
