Executive Director, Private Credit, Loan Capital

**Responsibilities**:
- Strategic planning for the business development of the private credit business in APAC in collaboration with the relevant departments.
- Develop the relevant Risk Appetite Framework ('RAF) for the private credit business of SMBC in APAC in line with the agreed scope for the business.
- Spearhead the task of obtaining the NPC approvals for private credit as a new product.
- Actively work on the origination and structuring of private credit deals, including the credit approval process
- Collaborate with the various stakeholders from the various front offices (SPDA, SFDA, CBAP, REFG, TPD) and the relevant planning and credit departments in the origination and execution of transactions.
- Maintain the investor network relevant for the private credit business
- Work with portfolio management team in the monitoring of the portfolio
- Hire and develop team members
**Job Requirements**
- Post graduate and/or college degree
- At least 10 years work experience in Asian credit / special situations / direct lending, investing and loan markets across Asia Pacific and across the credit spectrum
- Experience in originating, structuring and/or distributing private credit and structured finance transactions
- Experience in structuring, negotiating term sheets, documentation, contracts
- Strong credit skills
- Extensive contacts and knoweldge of institutional investors and bank market
