Assistant Accountant

**Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of the finance operation to ensure all financial processes are efficient, organised and under control. You will also participate in monthly and quarterly closing process to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.**
- Handle payment & receipt for Singapore Branch operation and prepare related accounting entries.
- Supervise premium, commission and claims booking for South East Asia and India markets under Singapore Branch.
- Monitor and act as the key contact point of Finance for reconciliation and settlement of premium, commission and claims with Commercial department internally, and brokers and fronters externally. Work with relevant parties to resolve any differences.
- Actively involve in credit control to ensure outstanding balances with brokers and fronters are settled in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly accounting schedules, reconciliations and reports
- Participate in exercises to enhance control and efficiency of financial processes and take part in other ac hoc assignments
**Requirements**:
- Min 3 years of experience in a credit control / accounts receivables / payment roles or relevant experience
- Have a Higher Diploma or Degree holder in finance, accounting or related disciplines
- Knowledge of GST is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Detailed-oriented, independent, flexible, hands-on and team-oriented
- Able to commit at least 6 to 12 months fixed term contract
