As a Senior DevOps Engineer in a vendor environment, your role will be to focus on the operations side of the business and take ownership of the infrastructure that runs both the Windows and Linux environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the automation and infrastructure code that will help us build and manage a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure. Your role will also involve collaborating with the development team to ensure that the infrastructure meets their needs and integrates with their workflows.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Designing and implementing automation processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef to create, configure, and deploy infrastructure.
- Managing the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
- Maintaining and improving monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Nagios to ensure that we have real-time visibility into our infrastructure performance.
- Creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Managing and supporting the Kubernetes clusters to provide highly scalable and reliable container orchestration.
- Working with Jira to track and prioritize infrastructure-related issues and tickets.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Conducting security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role in a mixed Windows and Linux environment.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code and experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
- Experience with container orchestration systems, especially Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Jira and other project management tools.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Nagios.
- Good understanding of cloud computing, especially AWS and Azure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.
