**Therapy Assistant (Physiotherapy)**
**Job Description**:
With specific instructions from the Physiotherapists, carry out all physical therapy activities for residents and/or clients independently, in partnership with other Therapy Assistant staff and/or with the Physiotherapists, individually or in groups, including:
- receiving instructions either verbal or written from the Physiotherapists
- residents and/or clients before, during and after therapeutic activities as required
- carrying out all instructions efficiently i.e. managing and organising schedule for attending to residents
- and/or clients to meet key performance indicators
- observing residents and/or clients before, during and after therapeutic activities as required
- reporting observations as required, back to Physiotherapists, to allow them to modify future sessions if needed
- using mobility aids correctly and instructing residents and/or clients to use mobility aids correctly
- performing manual transfers correctly when required
- using hoists and electronic transfer systems correctly and safely
- Participating in departmental project work and meetings when needed
Key Requirements:
- GCE N Level or equivalent
- Compassionate nature with the desireto serve the elderly and childrenA team player with good interpersonaland communications skills
