[What the role is]

1. Plan and organise MPA's flagship programmes and training courses

2. Liaise with IMO, WMU and IMLI to understand and meet the capacity building needs of member States

3. Work with various MPA divisions to support MPA's engagement efforts with MPA's international counterparts and IMO

4. Collaborate with both internal and external trainers to provide capacity building and training for both internal staff and external counterparts.

5. Promote the awareness and recognition of MPA Academy and its programme

6. Facilitate cooperation arrangement other Centre of Excellence including hosting study visits and academic exchange

[What you will be working on]

The MPA Academy (MPAA) was set up in 2012 by MPA as its training arm and is now a full-fledged academy with a focus on global maritime leadership training. The MPAA’s mission is to enhance the specialist skills and knowledge of MPA officers as well as to share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the international community. The MPAA conducts a range of flagship training programmes for port and maritime officials at various levels, and collaborates with established training institutions to run courses.
