**What the role is**
- To safeguard Singapore and SCDF’s positions in the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management (ACDM), to contribute our technical and practical know-how in disaster management, and to encourage the sharing of knowledge and use of innovation in disaster management.
**What you will be working on**
- 1) Awareness of Singapore/ SCDF’s positions on politically sensitive issues and safeguard these positions.
2) Capitalise on opportunities to expand SCDF’s outreach to key partners by hosting events/ programmes of benefit to Singapore/ SCDF.
3) Provide admin support for ACDM and its related meetings, such as drafting of Annotated Agendas, liaison with partnering agencies/ Secretariat on meeting/ travel arrangements, ensure records of meetings are accurate.
4) At times, incumbent is required to be on 24/7 standby when sensitive documents are being negotiated in the international fora.
5) To assess, propose and manage the administrative follow up on invitations to international/ regional events received by SCDF.
6) To assist SAD International Affairs Branch in planning, conceptualizing and coordinating major ASEAN events led by Singapore/ SCDF.
7) To execute tasks based on the role assigned in the organizing committee.
8) To maintain and update the database of international events represented/ attended by SCDF.
9) To update and provide inputs to ICPD/ MHQ or MFA on country briefs or bilateral relations as required.
**What we are looking for**
- 1) Experience in large scale event management would be advantageous
2) Keen interest in current affairs
3) Good interpersonal and communications skills
