We pride ourselves on our diverse workforce and are committed to transforming NUS into a leading global University shaping the future. **Job Purpose** **Responsibilities**: Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic direction and leadership for all IT infrastructure systems, including data center, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and end-user computing. - Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of core systems such as VMware, SAP Basis, server OS (Windows/Linux), storage, backup, and disaster recovery. - Lead large-scale infrastructure operations and manage a high-performing team of engineers and support staff. - Drive operational excellence through proactive incident, problem, and change management in alignment with ITIL or similar frameworks. - Manage large vendor relationships, ensuring service delivery, contract compliance, cost-effectiveness, and strategic partnerships. - Develop and implement robust monitoring, security, and automation strategies for a resilient infrastructure environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Applications, Security, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with business needs. - Lead infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives in support of digital and cloud-first strategies. - Establish performance KPIs and lead regular reviews to improve system reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. **Qualifications** Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. - Hands-on and managerial experience with enterprise systems including VMware, SAP Basis, data center operations, and server infrastructure. - Proven experience in managing complex IT operations and leading large, distributed technical teams. - Strong background in incident and problem management within mission-critical environments. - Demonstrated ability to manage large vendors, including performance tracking, SLA adherence, and negotiation. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge preferred. - Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments. - Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset. **More Information** Location: Kent Ridge Campus Organization: NUS Information Technology Department : Infrastructure - Systems & Platform Employee Referral Eligible: Yes Job requisition ID : 28909
