Singapore LIVING HOPE METHODIST CHURCH Full time

Being part of the leadership team, you will be working closely with the PIC, Youth Ministry Co-ordinator and Children Ministry Co-ordinator to steer, direct, grow and develop Youth and Children Ministry. You will plan and work with teams of staff and members, committees and subcommittees to achieve what the Ministries set out to do. You are to provide pastoral care, leadership and support for the Ministries. The PTM is expected to work on Saturdays and Sundays and a weekday off, is given in compensation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Assist the PIC, YM Co-ordinator and CM Co-ordinator to plan, manage, and oversee the operations of YM and CM according to the church strategic directions.

2. Provide pastoral leadership and care to, and nurture of both ministries, and inspire the rest of our congregation members to prayer and action, for the work of both ministries.

3. Assist in managing the life transition phases of our children and young people’s lives (including integration at various stages of their development, to the other ministries).

4.Though PTM will need to plan, communicate and prepare for ministries during Office Hours, the PTM should be prepared to facilitate ministry activities on certain evenings and weekends, whenever necessary. Any involvement beyond the required 5 and a ½ day week, will be compensated accordingly with time-off or a day off-in-lieu, in the following week.

5. Develop or procure Christian education curriculum and publicity materials for Youth Co-ordinator and Children Co-ordinator, when necessary.

6. Help out in certain church services when appointed to do so, by the Pastor-in-Charge.

7. Assist CM and YM Co-ordinator in administration and running of the weekly programmes.

8. Conduct one to one counselling or follow-up, and/or sharing with children/youth and/or their parents where necessary.

9. Organize events for bonding and outreach for children in the neighbourhood.

10. Assist in the recruitment of helpers for Youth and Children.

11. To continually evaluate both ministries for need to improve/change existing programs/procedures and identify new opportunities/areas to strengthen/expand the ministries.

12. Any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.
