Singapore Plain Vanilla Bakery Full time

Whilst we're proud to put out one of the best-loved cupcakes around, it's the warm hospitality of our service team that's instrumental in creating a homely, welcoming store experience. After all, it is the heart that makes a house a home.

We're looking for passionate, genuine and thoughtful hard-workers to join us at our Tiong Bahru store. If you're a team player who takes pride in putting a smile on people's faces, readily goes above and beyond your job to build community with customers and fellow team members, and is able to keep a level head when things get busy, we'd love for you to join the family.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting and serving customers
- Provide high quality of customer service to guests
- Follow SOP on food & beverage preparation and order system
- Serving customer of foods and beverage
- Ensure sufficient stocks for daily operations
- Minimize wastage and spoilage of food ingredients
- Report for duty on time and neatly groomed.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Ensure that work stations are set up before the shift commences.
- Have full knowledge of the menu to recommend specific items to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas.

**Requirements**:

- Min. 1 year of service experience is preferred but not necessary
- Training provided to those without experience
- Good work ethics and willing to learn
- Detailed, energetic and highly motivated
- Warm and cheerful personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Able to work in a team
- Must have initiative
- Must be able to work overtime occasionally
- Singaporeans are encouraged to apply

Plain Vanilla Bakery it started out with a simple, earnest ambition to create and share some good old-fashioned cake with our local community; cake that was made with real wholesome ingredients, and was familiar and comforting. In a world of mass-produced confections, we wanted to go back to basics and bake like our mums and grandmothers used to - moist red velvet cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream, apple pound cake drizzled with caramel, decadent chocolate brownies, warm and fudgey on the inside. The kind of scents, flavours, and textures that make us nostalgic for days gone by.
