**A Day in the Life**

**Associate Field Support Engineer**

The Associate Field Support Engineer is responsible for all aspects of equipment support performed at customer sites or prior to delivery, and to ensure that it is completed in compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures. This may include pre-delivery inspection, installation, commissioning, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, breakdown repair, and in-service to customers on basic device maintenance.

He or she will be the contact point with the local customers pertaining to equipment services. May be responsible for providing quotations and negotiating discounts within their approved DOA.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports
- Performs technical activities requiring considerable judgment
- Has basic knowledge of assigned products
- Expected to raise problems for supervisor review
- Has supervised interaction during negotiations with customers
- Obtains and provides technical information on matters pertaining to the job area
- Able to advise internal and external customers on available service options
- Performs assigned works and ensures timely completion of tasks
- Escalates issues encountered in the field
- Monitors own certification status and highlights need for re-certification
- Ensures test tool and spare part availability in the fieldHas supervised communication with biomedical engineers, the in-country commercial organization, and customers
- Ability to work on tasks which are typically not routine
- Expected to adopt good documentation practice
- Responsible to ensure all documentation / system entries are fully complete in a timely manner
- Provides supervised assistance to the commercial team during product demonstrations
- Provides guided communication to customers on product lifecycle management, product upgrades, and upcoming new product introductions

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors degree required
- 0 years of experience required

**Nice to Have**:

- Bachelor Degree and/or Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer environment
- May require vocational or technical education or certification
- Requires some knowledge of techniques and practices typically gained through experience and/or education
- Basic knowledge on troubleshooting methods/skills
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office

**Your Profile**:

- 100% local travel, if required
- Flexible working schedule based on customer requirements
- May require valid local driver’s license and vehicle
- May be required to lift a maximum of 35kg unassisted
- May be required to undergo a vaccination program
- Basic knowledge of ISO13485 / GDPMD
- Basic knowledge in ESD precautions and practice
- Working experience in ICU / Operating Theatre / relevant hospital / healthcare environment
- Some experience with SAP / Service Max
