Haulage and Multimodal Transport Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Haulage and Multimodal Transport Manager will establish and oversee the operations of the haulage and multimodal transportation division. This role includes managing a team, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and closely collaborating with the Warehouse Manager and Transport Manager to create an integrated logistics framework. The individual will handle sales and revenue management, prepare budgets, capex/opex reports, and optimize cost structures. Regular reporting to management during weekly meetings is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Division Setup and Operations Management**
- Establish and manage the haulage and multimodal transportation division.
- Develop and implement SOPs to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Optimize transportation processes to provide seamless integration with warehouse operations.

2. **Team Leadership and Coordination**
- Lead and mentor a team of haulage and multimodal transport professionals.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Transport Manager to ensure cohesive logistics operations.
- Foster a collaborative work environment across departments.

3. **Sales and Revenue Management**
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue for the haulage and transport division.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor revenue targets and implement corrective actions as needed.

4. **Financial Planning and Reporting**
- Prepare and manage budgets for the division, including capex (capital expenditures) and opex (operating expenditures).
- Analyze financial data to optimize cost structures and improve profitability.
- Present financial and operational reports to management during weekly meetings.

5. **Cost Optimization and Collaboration**
- Collaborate with operations managers to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Review cost structures regularly to ensure competitive and efficient pricing.

6. **Multimodal Transportation Strategy**
- Develop and implement strategies for multimodal transportation, integrating road, rail, sea, and air transport.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods while minimizing costs.
- Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices into operations.

7. **Compliance and Standards**
- Ensure all haulage and transportation activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and address any compliance issues promptly.

8. **Management Reporting and Meetings**
- Provide detailed reports on operational performance, sales, and financial metrics.
- Present insights and recommendations during weekly management meetings to support strategic decision-making.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in haulage and multimodal transportation management.
- Proven experience in sales and revenue management within the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of SOPs, regulatory compliance, and transportation best practices.
- Expertise in budgeting, costing, capex/opex management, and financial reporting.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational and financial goals.
