Johnson & Johnson Consumer is recruiting for a Post-doctoral Scientist in Skin Health Upstream Innovation to work on skin anti-aging research, with specific focus on identifying new targets and validating new innovations to deliver anti-aging and even skin tone benefits. The individual will work internally and externally to establish research programs to better understand the skin aging and pigmentation process. The individual will establish study protocols for innovative in vitro models and assays to assess functional benefits of the technologies, and be responsible for the successful execution and analysis of these studies. The individual will partner with cross-functional teams to identify research and project requirements and desired outcomes. In addition, the individual will document results in the form of reports, papers and communicate findings to internal cross-functional teams and management. Where appropriate, the individual will prepare peer reviewed journal articles related to the team’s research.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of a new entity within New Consumer Health.

**Qualifications**:
A Ph.D. degree in skin biology, molecular and cellular biology. 1 year industry experience is highly preferred.

Expertise and experience working on skin anti-aging and anti-pigmentation.

Expertise and experience in cellular biology, molecular biology and imaging techniques.

Solid working knowledge of skin biology and biochemistry pathways, hands-on experience in current techniques including in-vitro assays and models are required.

Capability and achievement in scientific publications (e.g. conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, patents, etc.)

Ability to independently manage complex technical projects

Ability to acquire, analyze, interpret and organize data and document research experiments and protocols

Ability to partner with cross-functional and cross-regional teams within R&D environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to create and deliver technical presentations to both technical and non-technical business audiences

Good business acumen and interest in consumer skin health business
