About the Role

Reports to Market Surveillance Senior Manager, the Senior Business Analyst will involve participating in a Splunk development project using Splunk SPL/Python to deliver solutions to Market Surveillance team, as well as a variety of other initiatives.

This role requires a strong analyst/programmer who can be the conduit between the Markets surveillance business and Technology. Working with existing technologies, you will be required to understand the current control logic used to detect and alert on traded scenarios; and extend these capabilities to work across multiple market risk systems (Wall Street and Murex). You will be expected to research, document and assist in the building on new interfaces, dashboards and alerts in case management.

**As a Senior Business Analyst, you will**:
Working effectively with both Technology and Markets Surveillance to deliver accurate and timely deliverables.
Demonstrate ANZ values and build customer focused culture, adapting own behaviour to changing demands, fostering collaboration across teams / business units.
Understanding existing business use and terminology.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong knowledge of Splunk SPL and Python are essential.
Knowledge of Regulatory & Compliance and trade surveillance functions is essential.
Strong data analysis and data visualization skills that allow evaluate and deliver solution for complex trade surveillance scenarios.
Strong knowledge in data integration, transformation and analytics.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment to achieve results under tight deadlines.Advanced knowledge of Splunk architecture and configuration in both Windows and Linux environment, experience in Splunk upgrade and Splunk Cloud.
Advanced Experience in UI development with strong knowledge of Splunk UI and Splunk Add-on to design and deliver complex dashboards.
Strong development experience in Python 3.
