We are looking for someone who can run a client engagement pod across a set of clients ensuring strategic leadership, talent growth and financial profitability.
This role will report into the Head of Growth of VMLY&R Singapore.
They own and are accountable for all facets of the client business and its operations. The idea is that someone looking at this role wants management experience, including leadership and revenue responsibilities as part of their job role.
They will also have a strong part to play in New Business development for the agency, from hunting opportunities to steering pitches towards conversion. There will be a revenue responsibility assigned to the role, in discussion with the person taking on the role.
As a member of the Singapore management team, the CE Director will participate in key agency decision making, we well as organisation building efforts.
The CE Director serves as the lead of three or more key client businesses on behalf of the agency. He or she is the lead on the account team (which has people from various departments), responsible for all aspects of business management, including overall business growth, casting and team development (with a focus on the Client Engagement team). They will also lead the engagement with senior-level clients on key accounts. The person in this role works with internal teams across disciplines to develop, craft and refine strategies to achieve client goals and execution of strategies and is responsible for ensuring that the agency’s reputation and position is maintained across key clients.
They will also work with members of the senior management team - to grow and cross-sell with clients various service offerings we have and make VMLY&R’s position in client organisation stronger.
The CE Director also sets the vision for all partnerships and ensures seamless delivery across the account teams he/ she leads. He/ she is responsible for overall profitability for the businesses he/ she leads.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads, and collaborates with, account team, shows leadership in setting the vision, & defining engagement plan for the key clients they own
- Sets and achieves profitability goals that are on par with agency benchmarks
- Manages and approves all investments to ensure a strategic focus and pay back
- Develops and maintains the most senior level relationships within a given client organization
- Focus is on building depth and breadth of relationships with key clients and harvesting new business opportunities
- Establishes and maintains team culture
**Requirements**:
- 8-10 years in a client management role in the marketing, digital marketing space
- Has excellent presentation skills and organization skills.
- Is able to craft creative briefs and provide clear, persuasive briefings to Creative teams and remain an active contributor throughout the creative development process.
- Has a deep knowledge and experience with multichannel marketing; and deep knowledge of digital.
- Has a proven approach to cross-functional, cross-agency and partnership collaboration.
- Has a distinct understanding of strategic process and ability to drive innovation.
