Legal & Compliance Officer

Singapore MYSTEEL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Draft and review legal documents and agreements
- Prepare monthly risk summary reports for management to review and discuss
- Offer guidance and council to management, to align compliance with the overall business strategy
- Advise management and suggest improvements in compliance issues and systems, identify potential compliance risks
- Work closely with the operations and onboarding team providing guidance and solutions in line with MCS’s regulatory licenses
- Review and validate customer KYC onboarding and periodical review cases.
- Timely provide compliance opinion and validation based on policy and local regulatory requirement
- Creating strong compliance structures for all of MCS’s offices globally to adhere too
- Work closely with regulatory officials to handle their inquiries and licensing matters
- Implement controls and monitoring policies for general compliance matters

**Requirement**:

- Bachelor degree in Law, or other related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years experience required in financial services with a focus on interdealer brokerage
- Deep understanding of financial markets with a key focus on the broking industry
- Understanding of financial markets and regulators.
- Highly developed communication skills with ability to build relationships across the organisation at all levels
- A self-starter able to work in a small start-up team and independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, result-orientated and high-quality delivery
- Mandarin speaking preferred, but not essential

Strong communication (both oral and written) skills

Willing to travel to Mysteel offices across China/UK as required

Be comfortable working with MCS’s China based middle and back office teams
