About this team
The retail operations (Ops) team is comprised of peeps that know a little bit about everything and a lot about most things within their lululemon market. Based in market, our Retail Operations team is an extension of our store teams. You are responsible for supporting cross-functional daily operations, solving complex problems, and developing new initiatives that support the demands of running a shop. Simply put, Retail Ops is responsible for making the complex simple for our store support centre and stores.
**A day in the life**:
Your primary objective will be to inspire, lead and drive efficiencies via operational support to our stores:
- Manage the internal coordination for Openings and Optimisations (O&O) and New Market Entry (NME) process in collaboration with Market Director, Regional Manager, Store Development team and head office cross functional partners to ensure a smooth opening process utilising checklists and timelines
- Lead and consult on behalf of the retail network through collaboration and cross-functional work with a wide array of partners: Community Manager, Operations Manager, Regional Manager, and Training Manager to enable store operations: asset protection, inventory counts, store technology, calendaring, and consumables etc.
- Provide options and impacts to cross functional stakeholders and decision makers with a clear recommendation
- Supporting the stores with in the moment solutions (from all aspects of the business), you will draw on your in store or previous retail experience, at times this may result in after hours support.
- Working closely with your Store Support Centre partners locally, regionally and globally to drive new innovative processes alongside refining existing processes. This will include supporting implementation/roll out in stores.
- Develop communication strategies to support the roll-out and implementation of regional projects/initiatives
- Facilitate collecting feedback for projects, communication and initiatives
- Lead and deliver a variety of projects, enrolling local and regional stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional partners within the business.
- Provide support to the retail network and coordinate with department functions on IT, Finance, P&C, Logistics, Product enabling smooth interaction with the store teams
- Identify and make recommendations to elevate the current processes, whilst managing day to day programs.
- Work directly with regional sustainability team to execute local initiatives
- Support the development, implementation and monitoring of South East Asia’s sustainability programs, focusing on reducing our operational footprint in areas such as carbon and waste
- Set up appropriate data collection to support the criteria as released by the government in relations to the promotion of saving and recycling resources
- Complete our sustainability annual report and action plan as mandated by government legislation, in partnership with internal teams and external suppliers
- Present in stores at least once a week, pending health restrictions.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years experience ideally within a retail environment
- Strong ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Strong leadership capabilities and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Resourceful and high level of initiative
- Strong retail and financial experience with an understanding of specialty store retailing
- Ability to produce, compile clear and compelling communication in a variety of formats
- Ability to organize, set clear priorities and manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
- Ability to work well as a cross functional partner and hold your peers accountable
