Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect in the Professional Services department at Privitar, you will be responsible for designing the complete set of technical deliverables as part of customer engagements to deploy the Privitar Data Privacy Platform in customer environments.

Privitar customers typically wish to provide robust and broad privacy protections to their use of data; Privitar assists them in driving the necessary change in people, processes, and technology. Solutions Architects at Privitar own the full technical design and deployment of enterprise-grade privacy protections, in a myriad of customer environments.

Solutions Architects will work with Privitar Technical Architects and Privacy Engineering Consultants to deliver customer deployments.
- Solutions Architects also provide assistance to the Presales and Sales Teams to ensure a customer’s experience from sale to implementation to full operation of their Privacy Platform is consistent.

**Responsibilities**:
**Privitar Platform Knowledge**
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Privitar platform, its requirements, and its integration points with external technologies. Understand Privitar platform integrations with the tech stacks of Privitar’s customers. Please see the _Common Technologies_ section for more information on technologies that form common customer stacks.
- Develop a detailed understanding of Privacy Engineering topics, including risk profiles, best practices, etc.
- Develop, document, and maintain internal best practice for the implementation, tuning, and maintenance of Privitar Platform components.
- Develop, document, and maintain reference architectures to aid future customer engagements.
- Contribute to Product Management roadmap to advocate for future customer feature requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and architecture patterns.

**During Customer Engagements**
- Gather, understand, and document the complete set of functional and non-functional customer requirements for Enterprise-scale deployments of Privitar Platform components, and implementation of necessary governance processes.
- Define, document, and agree the complete solution implementation picture with appropriate customer business units.
- Design and document the technical phasing of a project implementation.
- Maintaining solution designs in light of changing customer requirements or realities.
- Ensuring and owning the technical dimensions of project delivery.
- Define the test strategy and acceptance criteria along with approaches for resilience, business continuity, and backup/recovery (where appropriate).

**During Pre-Sales and Sales Process**
- Taking part in prospect pre-sales discussions to ensure proposed solution is appropriate and feasible.
- Estimate the professional services time and resources required for the technical delivery, taking into account the customer’s budget for professional services.

**Building Privitar Teams**
- Identify and understand any skills gaps in team of Technical Architects and Privacy Engineering Consultants.
- Help build skills of Technical Architects and Privacy Engineering Consultants through mentoring.
- Travel to customer sites within North America, and possibly further afield, can be expected.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a Science or Engineering discipline.
- Proven track record of architecting sophisticated product integrations in customer enterprise environments. **Please see section **_Common Technologies_** for more information on the common technologies Privitar architectures involve.**:

- Knowledge of Linux.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python).
- ** Experience of common data processing and Business Intelligence (BI) architectural patterns (e.g., ETL, real-time alerting, data warehousing, etc.)**:

- Experience with database schemas and SQL.
- Proven ability to deliver results under pressure with rapidly evolving propositions, client demands and business needs.
