The Legal Division (LED) supports the Authority in advancing its mission to develop and promote Singapore as a premier global hub port and an international maritime centre, and to advance and safeguard Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. Strategic projects that the LED supports include the development of the Tuas mega port, developing regulatory regimes for maritime services including bunkering, and digital port and marine services, and advancing the Maritime Singapore Green Initiative. The LED also plays a key role in giving effect to and ensuring compliance with Singapore’s international obligations under maritime treaties and conventions.

[What you will be working on]

As a legal counsel in the Legal Division (LED), you will be part of a team of passionate lawyers supporting the Authority’s policies and operations through creative, comprehensive and practical legal solutions, including drafting legislation, agreements and tenders, and advising on the Authority’s functions and powers. You will also have a key role in enforcing MPA’s regulatory regimes through prosecution and related responsibilities, such as advising on enforcement action, reviewing appeals, and drafting court documents.

You may occasionally be required to assist in corporate compliance duties for MPA affiliates.
