What youâll learn & achieve:
** JOB FUNCTION**:

- Under limited supervision, independently manages execution and timely completion of engineering projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, establishing test programs for product investigations, and preparing reports for clients. Participates in the development of UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment. Exercises Project Handler Signature Authority as Project Handler of record responsible for opening, maintenance, completion, and closing of assigned new work engineering projects. May exercise Review Signature Authority as assigned as Reviewer of record responsible for initial review, status review, and final technical review of all new work engineering projects.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Analyze project scope and determine project specification.
- Collaborate with commercial teams for marketing needs.
- Establish test programs for product investigations; analyze test programs for adequacy and sequence.
- Examine samples for compliance with requirements of appropriate Standards.
- Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
- Work with the lab staff in the test specification and coordinate administrative aspects of project management.
- Resolve engineering issues by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.
- Integrates basic continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, process and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
- Resolves engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.
- Assists in the development of UL requirements.
- Assists in developing special test methods and test equipment.
- Analyzes test program for adequacy and sequence.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

What makes you a great fit:
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent education from University / College.
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering / design validation / testing and certification / manufacturing in Power Distribution Equipment such as Transformer/Busway/Switchgear etc.
- Experience in Testing & Certification or Conformity Assessment activities are an added advantage.
- A strong understanding of technical vocabulary of various standards, interpret the standards in to test procedure and plan, evaluation and validation of test parameters.
- A strong customer focus mind set / passion to work for customer satisfaction
- Good communication and keeps the stakeholder and customer informed about the project progress.
