**Senior Climate Risk Consultant - Singapore**
Our climate work is rapidly growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Climate Risk Consultant.
**Main duties and responsibilities will include**:
- You will be leading and supporting the delivery of climate change risk and opportunity assessments in line with various reporting and disclosure standards
- You will be leading and supporting the development of corporate and project-level sustainability strategy and policy
- You will be supporting the delivery of corporate greenhouse gas assessments and net zero transition plans incl. the development of net zero and science-based targets
- You will be delivering stakeholder engagement activities for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- You will write reports and conduct research whilst supporting the development of fellow teammates through the provision of technical guidance
- You will be supporting business development and the preparation of tenders
- There will also be opportunities to collaborate with the Metis Institute for Climate Strategy on research reports and thought leadership articles
**What you will be doing**:
- Degree in relevant discipline (Climate Change, Earth Sciences, Geography, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Environmental and Social Sciences).
- 3-5 years of experience delivering greenhouse gas assessments and verification to international standards (IPCC guidelines on treatment of emissions sources, GHG Protocol etc.) as well as in accordance with Singapore’s measurement and reporting regulations and guidance.
- 3-5 years of experience delivering whole life carbon assessments to various standards (e.g., Green Mark, PAS 2080 and/or EN 15978 etc.).
- Understanding of net zero and science-based target setting as well as in the development of carbon management plans and route maps.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and client management.
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills and proven expertise in creating and reviewing high quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).
- Demonstrable business development skills, sufficient to identify and seize commercial opportunities in Singapore and internationally.
**Desirable experience**:
- You have a good understanding of the sustainability and climate change landscapes, including the challenges which are faced in the relevant areas of practice.
- Experience in the delivery of greenhouse gas and whole life carbon assessments
- Experience in the delivery of carbon management / net zero transition plans, incl. net zero and science-based target setting
- Familiarity with existing third-party climate, natural hazards and catastrophe modelling tools
- Experience within a sustainability role within the finance sector is advantageous
- You have a university degree in environmental or climate science, economics or similar.
- You will have five years’ experience of climate change risk assessment and management, and related fields
- You will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify, communicate and address complex issues
- You will have experience of stakeholder engagement and client management.
- You will have excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
- You will have excellent writing skills and proven expertise in creating and reviewing high quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).
- You have demonstrable business development skills, sufficient to identify and seize commercial opportunities in Singapore and internationally.
