**Social Media Specialist Responsibilities Include**:

- Day-to-day content creation and management of RFA’s English accounts on social media platforms, targeting mainly users who receive their news and information in English, and have a strong interest in the content covered by RFA.
- Developing RFA English language news’ social media outreach strategy.
- Developing and implementing creative ways of adapting editorial news to engaging content on various social media platforms, through the form of text, graphics, videos and any other appropriate format.
- Monitoring and responding to viewers’/readers’ comments and feedback.
- Monitoring and moderating social mentions in English towards RFA.
- Using analytics to monitor the effectiveness of social posts and campaigns; providing feedback to the editorial team based on data.
- Keeping up with industry trends and use of social media for target audience; identifying opportunities to grow and to engage with audiences on existing and new social platforms.
- Coordinating with colleagues at RFA’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., on social media posts.

**Social Media Specialist Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience with a track record of successful experience in digital marketing and social media management.
- Expertise in social media platforms that RFA audience is active on. Deep understanding of different social channels’ audiences’ behavior and their preferences.
- Good social media content writing/editing skill; any graphic design or video editing skills are a plus.
- Ability to work well with a remote team in different time zones, and to work collaboratively across cultural lines.
- Experience in news and media production is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English is a must; any ability to communicate professionally in one of RFA’s broadcast languages is preferred but not required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
