Infrastructure Engineer, Network

**Job Description**:
Infrastructure Engineer focusses on delivering stable, efficient, and reliable network infrastructure build and operation. He/she supports the design, implementation, and testing of installations of network infrastructure and its auxiliaries' components. He/She must be able to do daily performance monitoring, analysis and maintenance to ensure network infrastructure can perform according to the plan and design. He/she may provide technical leadership in the project and manage team members with instruction, guidance and advice. He/she should have keenness and focus in resolving complex issues or conducting fault analysis. He/she may be required to be on standby on site or off site depending on the situation including nights, weekends and holidays.

Create documents on administration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting

Support delivery of optimal infrastructure operations

Support the development of report on infrastructure capabilities and limitations

Support infrastructure planning and design Support the design installations, system migration and integration

Support the testing and handover of implemented infrastructure solution

Maintain infrastructure Develop reports on performance and availability of infrastructure systems by review of service uptime, utilisation and throughput

Identify key infrastructure operations issues and maintenance priorities

Support the implementation of agreed infrastructure change requests and maintenance routines

Support the improvement of maintenance capability by using automation for upgrades, and backup configuration

Resolve infrastructure incidents Diagnose problem source through discussions with users

Escalate problems or issues to higher management

Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems

Support implementation of preventive solutions

Support planned maintenance events, system backup processes and disaster recovery drills

Support problem or issue identification and resolution

Support simulation of user problems to resolve operating difficulties

Optimise infrastructure performance Support the initiatives to improve the infrastructure systems and service delivery through automation and virtualisation technologies

Support the monitoring of performance, availability and security of infrastructure systems and key operational metrics
