Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager Strategic Pricing APAC, the Strategic Pricing Analyst role is part of the global Pricing and Revenue Management team within American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT). The Global Pricing Team is responsible for developing offers to support the acquisition and retention of travel services from corporations. The team aims to optimize our competitive premium offers by balancing profitability, the value to our customers and the strategic value to American Express Global Business Travel.
- Manage end-to-end pricing processes, partner with various teams to support client acquisition and retention efforts, support deal development, contract negotiations and finalization of client deliverables.
- Validate and analyze pricing requests and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Provide pricing support for Business Travel opportunities to develop commercial offers that generate profitable growth and mitigate risk.
- Work with the Global Pricing Team to support ad hoc requests
- A Business or Finance degree.
- Outstanding financial acumen, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, team player, driven, flexible and enthusiastic.
- An analytical mindset to interpret complex info into insights and conclusions.
- Strong organizational/time management skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight turnaround time.
- Able to communicate effectively with members at various levels within the organization.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage priorities and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient Excel skills including the creation of advanced formulas and segmenting data in Pivot Tables is required.
- Knowledge of the travel industry and pricing is a plus.
