With increases in the amount of renewable energy in the grid, the Energy System will go through significant changes over the coming years. Our Asia Pacific Power Grids Department acts as the trusted advisor to help our customers to connect more renewables to the grid and secure and improve the affordability, sustainability and reliability of the network within the Asia Pacific Region

Our Power Grids Department cover 5 keys areas. On your cover letter please do let us know which of the areas sounds of most interest to you We will seek to offer roles in 1 team, or moving between different parts of the business. Our Power Grids business also works closely with our Renewable Energy teams who cover Solar, and Onshore and Offshore Wind, we would also love to know if you have an interest to contributing to this part of the business as well

**Power System Planning** - Our Power System Planning business builds models of the physical power system to simulate load flows and physical network behaviours, this helps our customers to understand how their electrical networks will change in the future particularly under high levels of renewable energy penetration. A role in this team will have you building models of the physical electrical networks, developing different future scenarios to run the model with, and analysing the outputs of the models to provide technical and strategic insights back to our customers..

**Asset Management and Transmission and Distribution Technology** - Our experts in this area support our customers in understanding and analysing the physical assets that sit on the electrical power system. A role in this area will have you supporting our consultants to deliver exceptional services to our customers by providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of data from operational network assets such as transformers, switchgear, and cables. The analysis will be used to provide insights into how our customers can optimise, procure and run such systems in the future.

**Energy Storage** - Our energy storage business provides advisory services to many players across the energy system, supporting them to understand, model, design and deploy a variety of different types of energy storage systems. You will get involved in modelling energy storage technologies and business cases, as well reviewing and analysing technical data from the different technologies

**Digital System Operations** - Our Digital Systems Operations team supports customers with communication technologies that enable and control electrical systems and assets across the energy system. A role in this team will involve supporting the consultants in energy industry control system (SCADA/EMS) projects, supporting Cyber Security testing and supporting EV Charging protocol testing services.

**Energy Markets and Strategy** - Our energy markets and strategy business works on topics related to energy markets and the energy transition, by providing quantitative and qualitative consultancy services to customers in the energy value chain. Our customers range from electricity market participants and regulators to governments and private sector companies. In this team you will be working on a wide range of analytics focused assignments related to energy markets, electrification, and business cases for emerging technologies such as hydrogen.

Position Qualifications:

- A strong drive to learn and develop your technical skills
- Passion to learn and make a difference in the Energy Industry
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong command of the English language
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Depending on the team and role you are interested in, but typically our team members have backgrounds in Electrical / Energy Engineering, Computer Science or Sustainable Energy. We will however consider applicants from a broad array of areas
