Preferably based in Singapore, although Hong Kong might be an option, the role of APAC Lead FI Payments & Clearing Sales will provide the employee with the opportunity to be part of the growth and development of our FI payments business in Asia-Pacific. It will be a key role in leading a small Asia-Pacific team of FI payments & clearing sales colleagues, actively selling and originating Euro clearing services with our banks’ clients, creating a strategy for the non-bank’s payments business, and developing the non-banks’ deposits business. ING Bank has built a good business already, and we want to take it to the next level.

The role will require intensive cooperation with various stakeholders: FI coverage bankers, regional and global product managers, compliance, and KYC colleagues, both in Asia-Pacific and with our head-office. The Asia-Pacific FI payments & clearing sales team is supported by a very solid and experienced team in Europe.

**Responsibilities**:
As an APAC Lead FI Payments & Clearing Sales, your responsibilities will be the following:
- Sales and origination of Euro (and central and eastern European currencies) clearing services with banks across Asia-Pacific. This will include pricing, reviewing, and negotiating of payments and cash management services.- Analyze payments flow and business cases when onboarding new clients.- Build and maintain close relationships with clients, proactively acting on direct customer and market feedback.- Develop a strategy and client approach plan to assess and meet clients potential PCM needs.- Coordinate closely with FI coverage bankers, Implementation team, and client services team across the world.- Act as an escalation point for payments related inquiries, issues and RFI’s.- Creation of a strategy for non-banks’ payments business.- Development of the (mainly USD) deposits business with our non-banks’ clients.

- Have a strong sense of initiative and be proactive. An assertive mindset is a main requirement for this role.- Able to identify and work on opportunities/projects independently.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Team player. Help others to be successful.- English is a must. Mandarin is nice to have.
