- 4 years of experience working in an operations capacity (e.g., scaled/sales operations, vendor management, process).
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, holidays, and on shift-based schedules.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with operations management, identifying abuse trends, or working in legal or policy.
- Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and reviewing online content.
- Experience with spreadsheets, SQL, and data analysis.
- Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
- Ability to use data to drive strategy and business action.
- Analytical skills.

As a Policy Enforcement and Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring that we deliver on our performance goals for your assigned policy area. You will help to implement and enforce our policies across videos. This includes finding the right balance between removing content that violates our community guidelines, while retaining approved content.
In this role, you willl define the operational plan and implement it globally, working with stakeholders including but not limited to Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Policy, and Legal. You will ensure that we deliver innovations to automate as much as possible, while improving quality, and acting as the escalation point to the vendor team in complex cases. You'll review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

**Responsibilities**:
- Keep our users safe from harmful content, protect the freedom of expression, and demonstrate a solid understanding of how our hate speech policy impacts YouTube users, platform changes, and product launches.
- Manage policy enforcement escalations, develop enforcement guidelines for hate speech, deliver training to reviewers, and provide expert enforcement advice, which may include exposure to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive content.
- Report on hate speech operations and follow up on anomalies by diving into metrics, and formulating specific hypotheses on operational health.
- Manage the quality of scaled enforcement by effectively managing the feedback loop with Vendor teams, from documentation to consistent communication back to Vendor teams.
- Stay current on hate speech policy abuse, drive our enforcement response, and support Detection teams in engineering and product to provide expert calibrations on policy verdicts.
