**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Group Finance Team. In this role, you will manage the full set of accounts for a group of entities, with a strong focus on group reporting and consolidation. This is a 1-year contract role with the potential to be converted to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage month-end closing of accounts for a selected group of entities, primarily investment holding companies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly group financial reports.
- Collaborate with finance teams across various departments and subsidiaries to collect and validate financial data.
- Support group consolidation activities and handle intercompany transactions.
- Prepare supporting schedules for Group financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives related to consolidation and reporting.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the selected group of entities.
- Participate in finance transformation projects and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
- Assist in adhoc duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in accounting or group financial reporting, ideally within a holding company or publicly listed company environment.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS); familiarity with US GAAP is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in group consolidation and public company financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven capability in managing full sets of accounts, particularly for investment holding entities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Audit experience, especially with Big 4 or reputable mid-tier firms, is a plus.
