**Core Objectives of the Non-Executive Talent (NET) team**
- Ensure our Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs) are guided and led by competent, capable, and well-constructed boards - so as to navigate challenging and complex operating environments and achieve strategic and business objectives.
- Enable the start-up of our Platforms and Venture Companies with appropriate governance setup and executive / non-executive resources, especially in the initial stages of growth.
- Identify, track, build and engage with an extended talent network to support the requirements of our broader Temasek ecosystem of portfolio companies, platforms and venture companies.
- Track and support the adoption of best corporate governance and board practices by our TPCs, platforms and venture companies, as part of Temasek’s ongoing investment stewardship activities.
**The Role**
**As a member of the NET team, the Intern will work closely with the team and be responsible for the following:
- **
- Enhance and automate our knowledge management system in support of our team’s objectives and in line with Personal Data Protection Act. This will involve working with our Technology and Compliance teams to articulate and design clear data hierarchies, data policies.
- Work with other members of the NET team to design talent frameworks and identify process automation opportunities.
- Research and generate a pipeline of potential talent who could serve on Boards, Advisory Panels, and as Corporate Advisors or Operating Partners.
- To be responsible for other related duties in support of the team’s core activities.
**The incumbent will be able to gain the following competencies**:
- Working knowledge of a knowledge management system design and build
- Ability to analyse the talent landscape and exposure to board and advisory talent that would help Temasek's ecosystem and investee companies meet their strategic objectives and development goals
- Understanding of a broad range industries of interest
- Understanding and appreciation of corporate and ESG principles as well as good board practices
- Exposure to and opportunities to interact with senior stakeholders and business leaders
**Qualifications / Capabilities**:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
- For postgraduate interns: Prior experience in HR resourcing function, and/or in a research capacity would be advantageous;
- Good IT skills and conversant with the use of search engines and databases;
- Good language skills, both written and spoken.
- Good analytical skills, details oriented and demonstrated initiative and persistence in probing and researching information.
- Meticulous and diligent in maintaining and updating the databases on a timely basis.
- Strong co-ordination and organization skills.
- Highly professional and discreet, able to maintain confidentiality on projects and talent information

- A team player with pleasant disposition.
- Ability to work well with people within and outside the team, and across the organizational hierarchy. Willing to lend a hand in helping fellow teammates where required.
- Self-confident with the ability to interface with various external parties and stakeholders.

- Diligent and take ownership of the team’s projects and responsibilities.
