Responsible for carrying out IT audits to support the audit of the government financial statements
- Perform selective audits of public sector entities
- To ascertain the adequacy and effectiveness of controls in Information and Communications Technology systems and processes.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop a good understanding of the government information and communciations technology environment, key developments and growing trends relevant to my client's information technology audits (eg control requirements in the government instruction manual on Information technology management, use of cloud computing, greater automation of processes, block chain technology etc.)
- To plan and lead or execute information technology audits on information and communciations technology systems and processes of the government and public sector entities. This includes identifying control weaknesses, areas of concern, obtaining the necessary audit evidence to support the audit observations and preparing the necessary working papers and reports. As part of evidence gathering to support the audit conclusions, you will also be required to interview auditees, analyse system configurations and perform system logs analysis.
- Prepare or review draft audit reports to ensure that they clearly communicate audit observations, audit concerns and recommendations to address any lapses.
- Provide technical advice or assistance to financial auditors.
- Supervise and coach junior team members for selected projects
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems studies or equivalent
- Minimally 8 years of experience in information technology systems audit, of which mínimally 5 years’ of experience is in leading and overseeing audit team(s)
- Possess good knowledge in the principles of information technology governance, risks and controls
- Possesses strong leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably possesses CISA certification or equivalent certifications
