**MAIN JOB PURPOSE/ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role is focused on value partnering & performance management of Unilever’s overall creditor balance of Euro 15bn/130 days. Trade creditors account for approximately 70% of Unilever’s total creditor balance and is an important lever to achieve Unilever’s strategic working capital and cash ambition.

This is a critical role that will help support landing the company wide working capital objectives. The key components of the role will include value partnering the global procurement team by setting the strategic framework for improving supplier terms, identifying & executing tactical extension opportunities and providing visibility of performance via relevant information & analytics.

The role has a global span and decisions taken will form global guidance on Procurement driven activities that impact Unilever’s financial position. This requires seamless connection with Cash Champions, Procurement Finance Business Partners and Controllers teams. Critical requisite is multi-dimensional understanding of Procurement impact on Unilever business agenda, ability to form and land transparent communication with multi-functional stakeholders.
**Problem Solving Areas**
- Translation of the procurement cash forecasts into creditor balance impact & MAT impact.
- Extensive involvement into Procurement Performance management to deliver working capital targets whilst ensuring optimal profitability improvement.
**Change Management/Leadership**
- Strong set of influencing skill and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and virtual workspace.
- Global leadership and coordination of new capabilities within Procurement and Procurement Finance team
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Cash Value Partnering
- Support the Procurement Finance Manager and Director in the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive the optimal balance between supplier terms extension and margin delivery while achieving overall working capital objectives.
- Utilize the optimal mix of Supply Chain finance solutions and support Procurement on Supply Chain Finance related matters.
- Standardize and drive value opportunities across payment terms baseline, payment frequency & compliance to contracts

Cash Performance Management
- Prepare and track monthly cash delivery performance against targets.
- Support procurement team globally to achieve cash targets by improving current reporting capability, monitoring ongoing pipeline and driving corrective action.
- Provide analysis and insight to Global Cash exec & UPLT on competitor benchmarking and underlying Creditor performance.
- Ensure consistency and quality of global reporting of cash.
- Drive payment terms compliance due to country legislation changes.
- Work with Global Performance Management team to understand Creditors MAT movement in the overall Working Capital contribution and Cash Conversion.
- Analysis on Cost vs Cash.
- Setting targets for Procurement Cash on payment terms extension and baseline change.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in accounting/finance
- At least 3 years experience managing medium to large teams remotely
- Strong finance background in FMCG industry
- Exposure in Supply Management / Supply Chain / Procurement
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record in operating in complex operating environment
- MBA is desirable
