Business Analyst

We are looking for a **Business Analyst** to join our Trading and Portfolio Management team. With your analyses you will be driving optimal portfolio management - and trading decisions by Flo Energy in the markets where we currently operate: Singapore and Australia. You might be the one we are looking for **What you will be doing**: The Trading and Portfolio Management department of Flo is responsible for the company’s energy and environmental products operation: - Short - and long-term forecasting of energy prices and -demand by Flo’s customers;- Optimizing this short - and long-term energy demand with our energy trading decisions;- Ensuring Flo thrives under any market circumstances through effective risk management;- Transfer pricing of tariffs to the sales teams for new contracts and renewals;- Setting up (new) price - and demand forecasting models for Flo’s regional expansion;- Product development for new tradable flexible assets and -customer propositions.- Balancing execution and problem-solving with growing commercial insight. You will work closely with with the Senior Business Analyst and the Director of Trading & PM to turn strategy into day-to-day business;- Work closely with data engineers and portfolio managers to ensure data pipelines and systems are set up for effective analysis and reporting;- Maintaining and improving Flo’s models for scenario analysis, forecasting, pricing and risk management;- Help investigate and highlight unusual patterns or discrepancies within the portfolio data;- Analysing new business cases for flexible and renewable production assets;- Analysing new energy markets for Flo’s regional expansion;- Setting up effective internal checks for the internal energy balance: Flo’s bought - and sold energy volumes and the invoicing accuracy;- Trading & PM’s performance reporting to Flo’s Management and our investors.- Have completed relevant education, a relevant (energy) technical/finance education is a strong advantage;- Have some experience working as an analyst, or in a similar commercial support role;- Are very skillful in SQL.
