**Responsibilities**

As the team is expanding, we are looking to hire an investor relations associate who will take ownership over the customer origination cycle, sourcing for new HNI and Institutional clients, articulating the Validus investment value proposition & products to sophisticated investors, and managing diligence and onboarding processes. As an investor relations associate, you will play a pivotal role in:

- Creating awareness of the Validus platform, products and services amongst the target market (i.e. Accredited Investors and Institutional Investors)
- Preparing resources to educate investors on Validus’ offerings & drafting curated customer performance reports, illustrative metrics and pitch decks
- Coordinating with the marketing team to prepare relevant materials for investors, developing regularly updated and unique content for clients, including newsletters, ad-hoc updates, and helpful content
- Creating and maintaining your own steady pipeline of clients, managing the outreach cycle from first point of contact through to onboarding, to support debt capital capacity for Validus Group
- Working closely with new and prospective investors to understand and document their investment preferences and profile, building a strong relationship from the outset, to ensure smooth handover to servicing teams & proper documentation of our client database
- Driving regular coordination efforts with servicing teams to analyse investment habits of clients in order to proactively initiate cross-sell efforts & strategic portfolio updates
- Actively engaging with the technology teams to fine tune the platform to meet investor requirements, gaining experience as a product owner and manager

**Areas where you have an opportunity to go above and beyond**:

- Stay attuned to market movements, acting as an ambassador for Validus at industry events and following literature/thought leadership in the private investment, debt and FinTech sectors, to better articulate and contextualize Validus both internally and externally
- Refine the investor origination strategy based on overall company objectives, with an eye out for new channels to engage prospective clients, and planning and organizing in-house events or team-led projects to execute upon the strategy
- Consistently benchmark Validus’ offering to that of competitors, keeping abreast of new products, technology enhancements and promotional programs to drive the investor relations’ roadmap
- Refining manuals and training guidelines for new team members, and in support of developing the investor relations function across Validus’ operating markets, which may involve cross-market engagement in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam

**Skills and experience requirements**:

- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a front-office/direct client origination and servicing role in the FinTech, Wealth Management, or fundraising sectors
- Intermediate capability in financial and quantitative analysis
- Strong business and cross-cultural communication, writing and presentation skills (English, with an additional Asian language preferred, but not required)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience interacting across multiple departments (and other markets/regional teams) to achieve common objectives
- Understanding of and passion for technology and finance
- Agile, and excited about working hands-on in a dynamic start-up environment, and gaining exposure to new business areas
- Self-starter, able to develop and execute upon a high-conviction strategy
- Good to have:

- Experience in strategy, or a client-facing/consulting role would be an advantage
- Experience working with high-net-worth clientele and an understanding of private credit / debt capital markets would be an advantage
- Existing network of institutional/accredited investors would be an advantage
