**Senior Volunteer Management Executive**
**Role**
The Senior Volunteer Management Executive is responsible for recruiting, engaging and managing volunteers to support the work at Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home (CSLMCH). This will involved working with the beneficiaries, residents, their families, external stakeholders to enable families towards healing, transformation, self-reliance, improved family and psycho-social functioning towards reunification.
**Responsibilities**
The responsibilities of the Senior Volunteer Management Executive include:
**Volunteer Management**
1. Able to understand the needs of clients served and ensure recruitment of suitable volunteers for the role of being a Befriender (Resident Befrienders and Family Care Befrienders).
2. Management of volunteers for the befriending programme to ensure volunteers are adequately skilled (Develop and conduct training), engaged and supported to undertake their befriending role most effectively.
3. Developing a framework and effective systems and processes of ensuring good matching of volunteers to clients, and ensuring volunteers are monitored and well supported in their roles.
4. To work with relevant CSLMCH departments to ensure effective integration of work processes and overall coordination for the Befriending Programme, as well as facilitating processes to enhance the flow of needful information, as well as the sharing and addressing of needs identified between units and befrienders and vice versa.
5. To coordinate, nurture, sustain and motivate volunteer befrienders and to document and monitor outcomes accordingly.
**Preferred achievements / characteristics**:
1. A Diploma, preferably a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, and preferably related to social sciences or business administration.
2. A heart and aptitude to help the less fortunate with at least 3 years of experience in Volunteer or Community engagement capacity. Passionate about volunteerism and enjoy serving in community
3. Friendly, positive vibes with strong interpersonal skills - resourceful and enjoys networking, engaging and working with stakeholders
4. Good communications, organizational, project management skills - oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals, groups and community at all levels
5. Analytical, agile and adaptable, resilient, able to multi-task with the ability to see the ‘Big’ and ‘Small’ picture appreciate different perspectives, foster connectivity and build bridges of support.
6. Confident, self-motivated, independent worker and also a good team player.
7. The ability to engage/ influence others to take ownership in an interest area while facilitating conversations amongst diverse groups for continual co-creation, relationship building and collaboration.
