**JOB PURPOSE
The SRV Technician oversees the hydraulic and mechanical system of the Submarine Rescue Vehicle. The role is also responsible for the operations and maintenance of the SRV using an extensive range of engineering and operational skills/methodology. He/She needs to demonstrate excellent leadership skills.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsibilities will include the following:
**Whilst onshore:
- Be available to report for duty punctually on board the mothership at Changi Naval Base in accordance with the local sailing notice to deploy the JFS-Submarine Rescue System planned exercise deployment for actual operations.
- Effectively lead and instruct team members using extensive job knowledge to successfully deliver the system.
- Supervise and conduct the planned maintenance and defective technical activities for the SRV systems in accordance with approved OEM manuals, plans, and procedures and in compliance with statutory and class society certification requirements.
- Manage the availability of the SRV, and associated systems for normal and emergency deployment.
- Maintain and keep up to date a technical library of publications, manuals, procedures, and drawings as appropriate.
- Develop, regularly review, and maintain risk assessments and safety-related documentation of the system.
- Assist the Rescue Service Supervisor with the planned maintenance and defect rectification activities for the SRV and associated system.
- Liaise with the Rescue Service Supervisor in respect of all QA and Safety issues relating to the SRV and associated system.
- Received and updated inventory of SRV spares
- Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Rescue Service Supervisor
- **Whilst offshore:
- To lead, manage and rectify any defects on the SRV and associated system while offshore.
- Performing Pre
- and Post-Dive Checks on the SRV and associate system
- The safe and efficient operation of the SRV System in accordance with the Standard and Emergency Operations Procedures.
- Train to be SRV Operator during at-sea operations.
- Liaise with the Rescue Submarine Supervisor in respect of all QA and Safety issues relating to the SRV ;
- Ensure adequate spares for SRV and on the vessel prior to deployment of the vessel.
- Any other task as reasonably requested by the Rescue Submarine Supervisor.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES
The role will require a broad base of experience in the engineering, marine, and associated industries including the following:

- Recognized technical qualification (s);
- A minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical/electrical system maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical/hyperbaric/hydraulic disciplines
- Have a thorough knowledge of the statutory and class certification requirements in relation to maintenance.
- Medical fit to be deployed offshore and work onboard a ship and in SRV. (No seasickness and claustrophobia)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to use the full range of all Microsoft Office programs.
- Demonstrate the willingness to participate in the Company’s Quality Management system and undertake auditor training and functions across the Company.
