**What the role is**
- Applications are invited for Research Officer, ASEAN Studies Centre (1-Year Contract)

**What you will be working on**
- Job Responsibilities: - Provides research support to ASEAN Studies Centre researchers - Assists in the editing and production of the Centre’s publications, including ASEANFocus - Assists in the delivery of an annual survey on geopolitics - Assists in the organization and management of conferences, workshops and seminars including emceeing and note-taking as and when required - Maintains and expands the Centre’s mailing lists and facilitates the dissemination of its research outputs - Anchors the Centre’s public outreach efforts and supports projects related to the understanding of ASEAN and the promotion of ASEAN Studies - Maintains ASC website and social media accounts including editing and content management - Undertakes individual research projects under the guidance of ASC Lead Researchers

**What we are looking for**
- BA/Bsc in humanities, social sciences or related fields, preferably in international relations, political science, Southeast Asian Studies or Asian Studies; advanced degree would be an advantage - Good communication and writing skills in English - Experience in copy-editing and other forms of editorial work would be highly desirable - Experience in public communications and events management - Skills in web and social media editing, content management and/or data visualisation - Knowledge of survey statistics would be an advantage - Positive work attitude, meticulous and ability to work under demanding circumstances - Team spirit and a high sense of professionalism
