**Your new company**

Our client is a multinational logistics organisation and one of the leaders in the industry. They are looking for an Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager in Market research to look into new business development opportunities primarily in the Middle East South Asia (MESA) market.

**Your new role**
- You will support MESA’s (Middle East and South Asia) business expansion objectives, including identifying, evaluating, recommending, developing negotiating and closing prospective acquisitions, mergers or joint ventures, tenders, new business opportunities and divestment in the port and logistics sectors.
- Research and assess possible BD opportunities within the region
- Analyse competitors and market trends, and maintain a database of BD opportunities, market statistics, partners, and competitors
- Carry out preliminary ground research and reality checks on selected BD opportunities where necessary
- Carry out due diligence with consultants & internal experts
- Create financial models or perform financial analysis to support BD analysis in the projects
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, approval papers and regular BD updates to management
- Prepare bid/offer documents
- Prepare and negotiate transaction documents and agreements with the help of consultants
- Carry out other work as necessary to successfully execute BD plans
- Support in cargo solutions initiatives requiring BD efforts
- Support regional projects

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Possess good university degree, preferably in Business, Accountancy and Finance, Economics, or Statistics
- Have at least 10 years of experience in finance/ valuation and investment projects
- Good with numbers and in dealing with complex modelling and analysis
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Competent in written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Team player with proactive and result-oriented personality
- Motivated self-starter who enjoys challenges
- Work well under pressure with tight timeline, multiple and complex projects
- Good business acumen and international business mind set
- Enjoy meeting people and following up with them to develop opportunities
