-Requisition Number APAC04999 Employment Type Full-time Location Singapore **Job Summary**: The role reporting directly into the VP/Director Regional Strategic Marketing - APAC, is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive and effective marketing plans, programs, and budgets across the Surgical business segment to meet Zimmer Biomet’s sales, profit, and top-line growth objectives and to optimize market opportunities across the APAC region. The position will lead and manage the new product launch process, clearly defining pre - and post-launch strategies and tactics and closely tracking launch executions on local and regional level. He/she is responsible for identifying met and unmet customer needs and to proactively work with the global Business Unit to ensure APAC needs are considered in global new product developments. - and long-term growth strategies and related marketing plans and initiatives getting incorporated in the yearly operating plan and strategic planning process **Principal Duties and Responsibilities**: - Drive segment-specific top-line growth and lead, manage and on a monthly basis track new product launches across all APAC markets. - Work with local marketing in defining pre - and post-launch tactics and activities and lead the segment-specific planning of strategies and tactics for the yearly operating plan cycle, the annual strategic plan and prepare and represent the segment at the yearly Regional Marketing. - Work closely with the global Business Unit for product developments addressing the met and unmet needs in the APAC region. - Collaborate closely with the global Business Unit and local marketing to develop, implement and review effective and profitable regional 3-5 year portfolio and market tier strategies for APAC. - Drive regional and country specific product life cycle management and strategic brand rationalization, monitor market feedback for product improvement and conversion to new products. - Interact closely with markets by regular field visits supporting local marketing and sales in driving top-line growth, build and strengthen customer relationships and work with local product managers in developing marketing campaigns and programs. - Work proactively with the local markets and the regional Business Development and Commercial Investments team to identify opportunities and markets for 3rd Party products in Asia. - Coach local Product Managers in marketing concepts by advising them in execution plans, assessing market landscape and revising plans as and when necessary. **_This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA._** **Expected Areas of Competence**: - Strategically and result orientated but ability to balance tactical work with strategic thinking and mindset. - Strong regionally oriented conviction and strong ability to develop, write and present effective business and marketing plans, coordinated and closely aligned with overall marketing organization and global counterparts - Solid understanding of market needs, market trends, competitive forces, and new technologies. - Experienced in optimizing promotional activities and multi-channel promotions - Proven track record in managing a larger product portfolio and effective product life cycle management - Demonstrated to develop and set product strategy for top-line growth with well-articulated strategic objectives - Experienced in conducting customer segmentation and targeting approaches - References for establishing and maintaining positive rapports with country marketing and management, and global Business Units in the US - Track record in effectively running sales and selling trainings and workshops for sales and/or distributor teams - Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and sustain a high level of energy and concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and willingness to work flexible hours. - Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and engage counterparts and realign diverting opinions and needs. - Excellent oral and written English communication skills (Mandarin or Japanese a plus). - Experienced in cross-cultural and matrix environments. **Education/Experience Requirements**: - Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing preferred. - Good understanding of the medical device (preferably orthopaedics) market environment through customer contact, literature, seminars and other educational programs. - Minimum of 2-5 years’ work experience in orthopaedic product management, marketing, sales or similar functions. Experience in working in a regional function or business, or cross-cultural work would be a plus.*** **Travel Requirements**: Between 10 to 30%
