**About our group**:
The RMO HDI-Reliability Laboratory’s primary mission is to provide Mechanical test solutions to enable media and substrate process and product qualification as well as product yield, quality, and reliability. The team also serves a critical role in Media mechanical design and development, mDVL testing, Tribology testing, contamination, and defect reduction. Working closely with R&D centers and Manufacturing. This role will report to the Engineering Manager.

**About the role - you will**:
mDVL Equipment/Test Development on Media Mechanical Design & Development on RMO HAMR and PMR Products.
- Knowledge/Experience in mDVL design/testing/analysis.
- Experienced in drive hardware, drive firmware, Drive level testing and programming.
- Demonstrated programming capabilities in one or more languages such as C, C++, Python.
- Experience in Drive level failure analysis tools (oscilloscopes and analyzers).
- Experience in Drive bench level test: WinFOF, SeaCon, mini-Gemini.
- Experience using data collection tools, and data analysis such as JMP, Minitab.
- Work closely with FRC (Media R&D) and Drive design team in innovation of Media mDVL test development and design.
- Work in a team that develops and deploys technologies to meet the Mechanical CTQ and reliability requirements of media in hard disc drive.

- Proficient problem-solver with analytical skills to evaluate risks and business strategies
- Good interpersonal communication skill and presenter
- MSc / PhD in Mechanical Engineering/Electronic Engineering

**Your experience includes**:

- Knowledge and skills in these areas - mDVL Hardware and Software, including Electronics, Signal Processing, Programming - will be beneficial in this role
- Experienced in Drive level testing.
- Accomplished lab skills, including operation of oscilloscopes, analyzer, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be valuable skills to perform on this role.

**Location**:
Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore. housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT station, with many employees taking mass-transportation to work. Ample free on-site parking is also available.
