- Degree qualified in economics / finance / business / mathematics or quantitative discipline
- Experience in the commodities market
- Knowledge of risk measures (sensitivities, option greeks, VaR, etc.).
- High degree of accuracy and efficiency under set deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Data-oriented personality
- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- Good scripting and programming skills (Python, VBA)
- Experience with data science tools, such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, PowerBI
- Good interpersonal skills

**Activités**

**Your missions as a Middle Office Analyst include**:

- Model, value and analyze market risks for trading activities relating to the portfolio of Gas, Power and LNG
- Control physical and financial transactions, transport, storage and currency exchange operations and validate prices in computer systems
- Analyze Mark to Market valuations, risk positions and realized profits / losses on a daily basis.
- Develop and maintain analytical reports on risk positions and trading results for traders and management.
- Work closely with traders, operations, back office and finance teams to measure and explain the sources of market risk to which portfolios are exposed.
- Maintain and improve risk models.
- Support, identify and contribute to the improvement of processes and systems.
- Optimize files, data processing and data analysis using VBA, Python, Alteryx
- Retrieve external website data (website parsing, API connection, etc.)
- Automate daily processes
- Create and automate dashboards to provide value-added information to internal stakeholders

- The Risk Control Analyst is part of the Global Risk Control team involving Geneva, Houston, and Singapore.
- The Risk Control Analyst works closely with Front Office, Operations, Back Office, Finance, Compliance, and Trading System teams. The team works across locations and product types including Natural gas, LNG, Power, Renewables and Dry bulk products.
- The Middle Office is responsible for calculating profits and losses and for managing the risks of the trading department. It is responsible for all aspects of market risk control, such as risk identification, measurement, monitoring and disclosure across various classes of energy commodity assets.

TotalEnergies Gas and Power Asia (“TEGPA”) is focused on trading activities (in the physical and derivatives markets) in the Asia Pacific region with respect to LNG, gas & power and dry bulk products such as petcoke and sulphur, as well as business development activities in the same region with relation to those products. With respect to LNG, in addition to its long-term contracts for the purchase of LNG destined for the Asian market and its long-term sale contracts with Asian buyers, TEGPA is very active on the physical spot market. As part of the Trading Division in the Company’s Gas, Renewables and Power segment, TEGPA works closely with the Geneva Branch of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Limited and with the Gas Division’s head office teams in Paris. TEGPA also takes care of the activities of its affiliate in Australia, TEGPAu.
