Singlife is the exclusive insurance provider for the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs and Public Officers Group Insurance Scheme. Singlife is also an official signatory of the United Nations Principles for Sustainable Insurance and the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment, affirming its commitment to finding a better way to sustainability. The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the pricing for all individual insurance products, including new product development and product enhancements covering participating, protection, Index Linked, Indexed Universal Life and other non-participating products.
- Conduct actuarial analysis and research to support pricing decisions, including data collection, analysis, and modeling
- Ensure that all pricing strategies comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Manage and develop a team of actuaries and analysts, providing mentorship and guidance as needed
- Oversee the development and maintenance of pricing models, tools, and systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes related to pricing

**Team**
- Direct accountability for the Individual Life Pricing team, a team of 5 to 6 pricing actuaries.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**
- At least 7 years of experience, including at least 2 years of experience in actuarial pricing
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to insurance pricing, such as MAS, LIA regulations and guidelines.

**Education**
- Qualified Actuary (under Institute of Actuaries / Society of Actuaries / Institute of Actuaries of Australia)

**Skills**
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in actuarial modeling, data analysis, and statistical analysis
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of actuaries and analysts
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
