**Overview** Nippon Life Asia Pacific (Regional HQ) Pte. Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "NLAP") is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Life Insurance Company (hereafter referred to as "NLIC"). Since incorporation, NLAP has been engaged in providing support services to NLIC. These support services include market research and information gathering, investment development, general assistance services, and affiliates-related services as detailed in the Service Agreement entered into between NLIC and NLAP. Such services are primarily focused on assisting NLIC undertake group-wide strategic decisions in its capacity as the Group’s headquarters through the provision of relevant region-specific information and analysis, as well as monitoring of NLIC’s investments into regional joint-ventures. **Job Summary**: The applicant is expected to, and will be responsible for identifying new markets, prospective partners and carry out due diligence to enter new life insurance and asset management markets in the Asia-Pacific region to work towards achieving an awareness of the competitive landscape, development and standards, and identify opportunities for expansion. He/she will work closely with the leadership team and senior stakeholders across the regional offices and with the headquarters in Japan regarding life insurance and asset management to implement the organization's vision and mission. - Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of materials in Japanese on a weekly basis to the Japan HQ. To maintain close communication with Japan Headquarters to provide frequent updates, reports and presentations to senior leadership teams based in Japan. - Assist and monitor group companies' management in the Asia-Pacific region as a shareholder (group companies are in life insurance and asset management areas) through effective report tracking, meetings etc. - Work closely with other functions and departments to ensure a consistent understanding/view of financial and insurance issues across the organisation. - Support group companies' sales, distributions, financials, risk management, compliance, IT and HR through high level actions in identifying potential threats, developing effective sales models and assisting/reporting to the Vice President on matters for HR escalations, employee relations etc - Working closely with NLIC in identifying new markets and prospective partners and carrying out due diligence to enter new life insurance and asset management markets - Assist in developing and implementing Asia-Pacific strategy including expansion of regional head quarter's function. - Market research and information gathering on life insurance and financial markets of Asia-Pacific region. - General administration work and basic accounting
